Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about a world that seems pretty bleak — the internet without Kim Kardashian.
I've been thinking about this dystopia since the reality star, mogul and icon cut back on social media following her dreadful Paris robbery.
But Friday, Kim’s 36th birthday, confirmed what I already suspected. There is no internet without Kim.

Let’s be clear — I know Kim had nothing to do with the DDoS attack against a company that hosts several domain name systems and took the pictures of Goldendoodles away from Twitter. It's eerie, but a little peaceful.
We miss your Instagrams and Snaps, Kim. We miss your Calabasas goth aesthetic, your underrated sharp wit, North's iconic tutu and leather jacket combos and you catching Yeezy catching Zs.
But we’re glad you’re taking the time off you need. If it had to happen on any day, we're glad the internet broke on your birthday. We hope you enjoy the freedom from your trolls.
