When it launched in 2010, Instagram was place to post an artsy picture of your coffee mug. Now, it's become one of the most important social media platforms, used by entertainers, politicians, royalty, and everyone in between. According to Hootsuite, over one billion people use the photo sharing app each month. Each day, 95 million posts are made.

Though the app has gone through many updates, good posts remains the constant. From Beyoncé to Jessica Simpson's foot, there's no shortage of A+ content to devour.

Here, for your group-chat-sending consideration, are the best Instagram posts of 2019 so far, in no particular order.

1. The Egg

Looking back on the World Record Egg, it feels like some sort of weird fever dream. But alas, it actually happened. Posted only four days into this year, it became the most liked Instagram photo of all time. Currently, it holds over 53 million likes. Kudos, egg.

2. Jessica Simpson's foot

What do you do when your foot is swollen? Post a picture of it on Instagram, of course! Jessica Simpson's plea for "any remedies" regarding her swollen feet garnered no less than 38,000 comments. Later, she posted more feet picturesto let us know that the swelling had gone down and she could see her ankles again. Thanks for the updates, Jess!

3. Cardi B sleeping on private jet with her child

The outspoken rapper cuddled with her daughter, Kulture, in a makeshift bed high in the sky. "Theres nothing more valuable than family time," she wrote in the caption, most likely with in-air Wi-Fi.

4. Harry and Megan with their baby, Archie

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex finally made their way onto Instagram just in time to welcome their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

No "Best of Instagram" list is complete without a shirtless Shawn Mendes. The staggering 242,000 commenters would probably agree with me there.

6. Chris Hemsworth with a quokka

The middle Hemsworth brother gave followers a mild bout of cuteness overload when he uploaded a selfie with a quokka, an ever-smiling marsupial native to Australia.

7. Baby Yoda concept art

Baby Yoda took over the internet the instant people saw him in Disney's live-action Star Wars show, The Mandalorian. The show's creator, Jon Favreau, posted the original character concept art on Insta to prove to us all that Baby Yoda was always adorable.

8. Billie Eilish goes for a spin on SNL

We'd say Billie Eilish is an up-and-coming pop star, but we think it's fair to say she's already arrived. When she took the stage as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, she danced to her smash hit "Bad Guy" in a rotating box and somehow managed to not fall over. "We on the walls n shit" she captioned the post. Indeed.

9. Stormi absolutely shredding through the snow

Kylie Jenner's daughter, Stormi, might just be the coolest kid in the universe, and this Insta video of her snowboarding like pro is proof. Do snowboarding pros get pulled on a rope by somebody in front of them? Whatever, it's still dope.

10. How to set up your gay friends (featuring Ina Garten)

We love a good gay/Food Network crossover meme, and this one is just so, so good. With a clip taken from Food Network showing legend Ina Garten making sandwiches, Instagram user @xanaxsmoothies taught us all how to set up our gay friends. Just "take the tops, and put them on the bottoms." Then, you gotta take them outside and "photograph them in the garden." Simple. Set me up, Ina!

11. Lizzo's Tiny Purse

"@maisonvalentino bag big enough for my fucks to give," wrote Lizzo for this Insta post of her insanely popular American Music Awards look, featuring the tiniest purse we have ever seen.

12. Spongebizzo

One fictional character inspired by Lizzo's outfit above was SpongeBob Squarepants. The official SpongeBob account posted a photo of the yellow sponge in drag, shrinking the purse down to the appropriate miniature size. It's good to know SpongeBob stans a tiny purse legend.
